As I took a look back at the most popular recipes of 2017, I was somewhat surprised at how many savory/dinner recipes made the list! It’s been trending towards that for the last couple years – as I’ve been posting more and more savory recipes here on the blog – but this year the majority are savory. Apparently everyone loves healthy, easy, and delicious dinner recipes…with a side of angel food cake ;). It’s the perfect balance! If you haven’t tried these recipes, what are you waiting for?? So good!

10. Instant Pot Beef Stew – Instant pot recipes are all the rage now and so, of course, I had to get in on the action! This beef stew checks all the boxes and is perfect for winter!

9. 3-Ingredient Healthy Sweet Potato Pancakes – I’ve probably made these pancakes more than any other recipe on my blog! They will satisfy your pancake craving, won’t send you into a carb coma, and will keep you full until lunch (or beyond)!

8. Mexican Cauliflower Rice – A healthy version of Mexican Rice! Bring it January Whole30!

7. Chickpea Tomato Soup – Think you aren’t a tomato soup fan? This recipe might change your mind!

6. Cajun Shrimp with Roasted Garlic Mashed Cauliflower – I think cauliflower must have been my favorite vegetable this year and for good reason, it’s so versatile. Eating healthy doesn’t have to be a sacrifice!

5. Island Pecan Pie – A tropical twist on classic pecan pie!

4. Instant Pot Balsamic Roast – I love this roast recipe! I’ve made it so many times in the last year. I love the bright/fresh flavor of the balsamic sauce. (You could also make this in the slow cooker.)

3. Quick and Easy Garlic and Herb Grilled Shrimp – I love shrimp – which is pretty obvious judging by the number of recipes on my blog! They are perfect for healthy, quick and easy dinners too!

2. Red Velvet Layer Cake – A 6-inch red velvet layer cake. The perfect size for your Valentine’s Day celebration!

1. Angel Food Cake – A family favorite and the most popular recipe on my blog this year! I can’t say I’m surprised though. If you’ve never made angel food cake from scratch, you are in for a treat. So much better than store-bought!

Thank you all for reading my little blog! ❤️
