I mentioned before that I’m in the midst of an oatmeal obsession. In the past I would have oatmeal maybe once or twice a week, but lately it’s been an every day thing. Luckily oatmeal is healthy and there are lots of ways to enjoy it. I decided to add some oatmeal to my smoothie and it was like eating blackberry crisp for breakfast y’all – delicious! The oats blend up completely smooth, giving you a nice, thick smoothie. I’m wondering if toasting the oats before adding them to the smoothie would be even better. I think I’ll have to try that next! Enjoy!

Blackberry Peach Oatmeal Smoothie
1/2 cup frozen blackberries
1/2 cup frozen sliced peaches
1/4 cup rolled oats, uncooked (I used quick oats)
1 cup skim milk
1 tsp vanilla

Combine ingredients in blender and process until smooth.
