I’ve already re-capped the Most Popular Recipes from 2012, but since a few of my favorites didn’t make the list I thought I’d share 20 of my (and Jordan’s) favorite recipes from 2012. These are the recipes that I’ve made over and over again =). So without further ado and in no particular order, here are 20 of our favorites from 2012.

Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Muffins – This was one of the first recipes I made using whole wheat flour and I’ve used the base recipe for several different versions since – tender, moist, and delicious.

Strawberry Shortcake Spelt Flour Pancakes with Strawberry Smoothie “Syrup”– These pancakes are perfect for summer – light and refreshing.

Copycat Cootie Brown’s Key Lime Pie – A copycat version of my favorite key lime pie, it’s pretty close to the original.

Toasted Coconut Layer Cake – This recipe takes a shortcut by using a cake mix but you still get a homemade taste.

Cherry Almond Cupcakes – These may have been the prettiest cupcakes I made all year and although I served them primarily to men they were a huge hit ;).

Butterfinger Brownies – Dark, chewy and delicious. Pretty close to the perfect brownie in my opinion =).

Caramel Apple Pie Cupcakes – A huge hit with Jordan’s co-workers, these cupcakes are slightly labor intensive but completely worth it.

Iced Oatmeal Cookies – The best iced oatmeal cookies ever. Amen.

Whole Wheat Bran Pancakes – I’ve made these pancakes over and over again and just like the whole wheat chocolate chip muffins, I’ve used this recipe as a base for several variations. I wrap them tightly in plastic wrap and store them in the freezer. Then when I get ready to eat them, I pop them in the microwave for a few seconds until defrosted and them put them in the toaster. They taste just as good as fresh.

Baklava – Jordan’s favorite recipe of the year. It’s a little time consuming but it’s so amazing you won’t mind =).

Whole Wheat Blueberry Biscuits – I love all things blueberry and these biscuits are no exception.

Pumpkin Quinoa Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Cookies – These cookies may be healthier than your average cookie but believe me they don’t taste healthy.

Maple Pecan Creams – Creamy, maple goodness. Maybe you’re a little burned out from all the Christmas candy, but you may want to give one more recipe a try.

Grilled Pizza – If you’ve never grilled pizza before, you definitely should. It’s so good.

Baked Whole Wheat Blueberry Doughnuts – I bought a doughnut pan and out of all the recipes I made, Jordan picked this one as his favorite. Can you tell I’ve been on a whole wheat kick this year? =)

Brown Butter Pumpkin Cupcakes – Brown butter adds a delicious caramel flavor to these pumpkin cupcakes. You won’t regret making these.

Butternut Squash Pasta – A butternut squash pasta dish that is basically a healthier version of macaroni and cheese. Who doesn’t love mac and cheese??

Nutella Brownies – Nutella + brownies = heaven. And these brownies are chewy perfection.

Chicken, Pesto, and Arugula Quesadillas – Jordan and I both love quesadillas and they’re one of our favorite go-to weeknight meals. We don’t always use this exact recipe, but Jordan loves him some chicken and pesto ;).

Quinoa Stuffed Acorn Squash – Aren’t acorn squash just so cute? And they’re tasty too!

I hope you have a Happy New Year!
Blessings,
Kendra
