There was a time when Fruity Pebbles was my favorite cereal. I would eat three or four bowls for breakfast (!!!). So when I recently happened upon a display of Fruity Pebbles at the end of the aisle at the grocery store, of course I bought two boxes =). Word of advice – don’t go to the grocery store hungry! Usually I eat healthier cereal now, but I couldn’t resist the bright colorful Fruity Pebbles box. I come by my love of cereal honestly though. I don’t think my dad has ever gone in a grocery store and not bought at least one box of cereal. My parents have a large pantry, but the cereal always seems to overflow anyway ;). I had quite a long list of things I wanted to make/bake using Fruity Pebbles, but these bars were first on the list. These are basically a Rice Krispy treat made with Fruity Pebbles. I wanted to use strawberry marshmallows but of course Kroger didn’t have any so I made do with regular marshmallows and strawberry flavoring. They were delicious and it really doesn’t get any easier than this! Enjoy!

Tutti Frutti Bars
6 1/2 cup Fruity Pebbles cereal
10.5 oz package miniature marshmallows
3 tbsp butter
1 tsp strawberry flavoring

1. Place butter in large microwave safe bowl. Microwave 30 seconds or until melted.
2. Add in marshmallows and toss to coat. Microwave at 30 second intervals until marshmallows are completely melted.
3. Stir in strawberry flavoring and 6 cups of the cereal. Mix until combined.
4. Press into greased 9×13 pan. Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup cereal, pressing lightly so it sticks to the marshmallow mixture.
