I asked Jason if he liked rice krispy treats and he said, “not really”. Say what?!? Who doesn’t like rice krispy treats?? Jason apparently 🤣. So when I make rice krispy treats, I have to eat them all by myself. #twistmyarm haha! I love this strawberry twist on classic rice krispy treats. I used freeze dried strawberries to get TONS of strawberry flavor without the added moisture of fresh strawberries. So, so good! And so, so easy! Perfect for your 4th of July cookouts! Enjoy!

Strawberry Rice Krispy Treats

10 oz marshmallows
2 oz freeze dried strawberries
1/4 cup butter
5 cups rice krispies cereal

1. In food processor or blender (or by hand with a rolling pin/meat mallet), crush freeze dried strawberries into a fine powder. Set aside.
2. In large sauce pan over low heat, melt butter. Add marshmallows and stir until fully melted.
3. Remove from heat and stir in almost all of the crushed freeze dried strawberries, reserving about 1/2 tbsp for topping.
4. Stir in rice krispies cereal until evenly coated. Pour into buttered 9 inch square pan. Press down slightly. Top with remaining crushed strawberries. Let cool. Cut into squares.
