Since it’s FriYAY, head to the kitchen and whip up a batch of these Copycat Great American Cookie Company Domino cookies! I can’t even remember the last time I had an actual GAC domino cookie (or the last time I was at the mall for that matter! #homebody) but when the craving struck for fresh baked cookies and this recipe crossed my path, I knew the search was over =). It’s basically a chocolate cookie with white chocolate chunks. Sounds simple – and it is – but trust me, it is a delicious combo! So good! Enjoy!
Copycat Great American Cookie Company Domino Cookies
10 tbsp butter, slightly softened
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup all-purpose flour
6 tbsp dutch processed cocoa powder (I used Hershey Special Dark)
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 (heaping) cup (~6 oz) white chocolate, cut roughly into chunks
1. In bowl of stand mixer with paddle attachment, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about a minute. Add egg and vanilla and beat until combined.
2. Add baking soda, salt, cocoa, and flour. Mix on low just until combined. Add in white chocolate until evenly combined. Cover dough with plastic wrap and place in fridge for 1-2 hours to chill.
3. After dough has chilled, preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
4. Scoop dough using a 1-1/2 tbsp scoop onto prepared baking sheets. Bake for 8-9 minutes or until edges are just set. Middles will NOT appear done but will set upon cooling. Cool on baking sheet for about a minute, then transfer to wire rack to cool completely. Makes about 3 dozen cookies.

I made these and they were soo yummy. My only issue is that they didn’t spread, they just stayed in the “scoop” shape
