I just got back from my trip to Iceland. Such a great time! I’m working on a couple posts all about my trip that I will post soon! Check back next week (hopefully) =).

New lamps! Well, not new exactly but they look completely different, right?? These lamps are old. I’m pretty sure they came from a yard sale over 10 years ago. They still worked but they were an ugly black and the lamp shades were a light green/tan that didn’t match my living room at all anymore. I decided to try my hand at spray painting. I picked up a couple cans of Rustoleum Heirloom Satin White and went to work! It took 2 cans for each lamp (1 can/lamp, 1 can/shade) but I’m pretty happy with how they turned out. They look completely different, and all for about $15 for both lamps!

I was browsing wasting time on Pinterest when I came across all these cute wooden signs with GPS coordinates on them – where you grew up, got married, went to college, etc. I decided to go an easier route. I picked up a frame at Hobby Lobby and printed off the GPS coordinates on photo paper. Maybe not quite as cute as a distressed wooden sign but much easier.

I’ve been slowly redecorating my living room. I started with the lamps and then I ordered some new end tables and a new coffee table from Wayfair. The end tables and coffee table also came from a yard sale when I started college, and they were ugly. I just didn’t have the time/energy to look for new ones until now. I’m not picky, but I just have time visualizing how new things will look in the space. Plus, I keep things for a long time so I wanted to make sure I got something I really liked. After hours of looking (literally!), I finally ordered on some tables. They arrived and one leg was scratched. No big deal. I contacted Wayfair and they agreed to send me a new one for free. Problem solved. Then, I got them put together and over half of the legs didn’t sit exactly flush with the top of the end tables or coffee table. I contacted Wayfair again, thinking the holes for the bolts on the legs may have not been drilled in the right place and that they would send me some new legs. They immediately offered me a full refund, saying this had been a common complaint with these tables. The tables are still definitely usable and after some adjustment of the bolts, they look better than the old ones for sure!

I got this Push Pin World Map for my dining room, and I love it! I ran out of pins and had to order more =).

Have you read the newest John Grisham book The Whistler yet? I thought it was one of his best! Hard to put down!

I watched a couple good (new to me) movies on my flights to and from Iceland. The first one The Accountant was so good! I’m normally not a Ben Affleck fan, but he killed it in this movie! Watch it!!! The second one was the newest Jack Reacher movie Never Go Back. Of course, I love all Lee Child books so there’s that, but it was a great movie – lots of action but also a great story.

A few of my blog posts are going crazy on Pinterest right now. All good ones =). Check them out!
