It’s always fun to look back at the most popular recipes of the previous year. There were several surprises this year! Three savory recipes and several “healthy/healthier” recipes made the top 10 this year, which was a little surprising but maybe it shouldn’t be since I posted more savory and healthy recipes this year than any previous year. 2014 was also the year of the smoothie for me, and 2 of my favorite smoothies also made the top 10. I don’t have much spare time anymore, but I’m thankful that I somehow still find the time to cook, bake, photograph, and write posts – not because there are so many people out there reading but because it’s something that I really enjoy doing. Here’s to many more delicious recipes in 2015! =)

1. Blackberry Peach Oatmeal Smoothie – Frozen fruit, raw oats, skim milk, and vanilla. That’s all you need to make this delicious (and pretty!) smoothie. It was one of my favorite recipes of the year too.

2. Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie – Another simple smoothie recipe here. I think it was the classic flavor combination that made this recipe a winner.

3. Pineapple Upside-Down Cake {from scratch} – This was one of my favorite pictures of the year – sooo pretty! A classic cake, slightly updated but still just as easy (no cake mix required!).

4. Pink Grapefruit Muffins – I’m a huge citrus lover and these grapefruit muffins really hit the spot. Their tartness is nicely balanced by a powdered sugar glaze.

5. Whole Wheat Slider Buns – Further proof that miniature everything is cuter! The best burgers start with freshly baked buns =).

6. Oven “Fried” Squash – All the flavor of traditional fried squash but baked in the oven instead to save some fat and calories…and the work of actually frying ;).

7. Quick and Easy Triscuit Pizza – These triscuit pizzas are perfect for a quick and easy lunch – and they’re fairly healthy too (depending on what toppings you use). Jordan was a big fan.

8. {Easy, Homemade} Funfetti Cake – Who doesn’t love funfetti?? No cake mix required, yet still easy, moist, and delicious!

9. {Healthier, Whole Wheat} Double Chocolate Espresso Muffins – You’ll never guess these muffins are healthier! They will remind you of a bakery style muffin, almost cupcake-like with lots of chocolate chips but still only 200 calories each!

10. Hershey’s Perfectly Chocolate Chocolate Cake – The title pretty much says it all – perfectly chocolate, chocolate cake.
