I picked up some coconut water on a whim a few weeks ago. Coconut water…Where have you been all my life??? I guess I’m a little late to the party. Better late than never though, right? :p Coconut water will change your life! Okay, so maybe not really change your life, but it will make some incredible smoothies! The coconut flavor is subtle – not overpowering at all – and since coconut water is very hydrating, it’s the perfect addition to your post-workout smoothies. I keep some on hand all the time now. I used a mixture of tropical fruit in this recipe but I’ve also tried dark cherries, blueberries, peaches, and raspberries and they’re all delicious with coconut water as well! I use Fitmiss Delight Vanilla Chai Protein Powder. It’s sweeter than your average protein powder and has a nice vanilla flavor. It’s the only brand that I’ve tried that doesn’t make me want to gag haha, but if you have a favorite vanilla protein powder you could certainly use that instead. If you haven’t already tried it, you should definitely go pick up some coconut water and whip yourself up a delicious smoothie! Enjoy!
