It finally decided to warm up here in Tennessee, and by warm up, I mean it went from 30 degrees to 80 degrees in two days! Did we completely skip spring and go straight to summer?!? It sure seems like it, but I won’t complain because I am so tired of the cold. Of course, I may have complained a little about it being so hard to run in the heat ;). I’ve been whipping up no-bake desserts so I don’t have to turn my oven on. Rice Krispy Treats are pretty much the perfect no-bake dessert in my opinion, but I wanted to make something I could blog about so I decided to spice it up a little by making Butterfinger Rice Krispy Treats instead. I kept it simple by mixing some crushed candy into traditional Rice Krispy Treats and then topped them with some melted chocolate and more crushed butterfinger. They were really good and I didn’t even have to heat up my kitchen =). Enjoy!

Butterfinger Rice Krispy Treats
6 cups rice krispies
10.5 oz bag miniature marshmallows
4 tbsp butter
1 tbsp vanilla
2 cups crushed butterfinger candy bars, divided
1/3 cup chocolate chips

1. Melt butter in large saucepan over low heat. Stir in marshmallows and 1/2 cup crushed butterfinger; continue to stir until fully melted. Add in vanilla.
2. Stir in cereal, 1-1/4 cups crushed butterfinger until fully coated. Press into greased 9×13 inch pan.
3. Spread with melted chocolate chips. Sprinkle 1/4 cup crushed candy over chocolate.
