Since tomorrow is the 4th of July, I thought I’d do a little recipe round-up post – starting with flag rice krispy treats. You really can’t get any easier than rice krispy treats and this is such a neat idea. In this heat, I love recipes that don’t heat up the kitchen. You can head on over to Random Thoughts of a Supermom for the recipe. The only thing I changed was, I didn’t have a small star cookie cutter so I had to shape my stars by hand. I definitely recommend buying the cookie cutter =). Enjoy!

Other 4th of July Recipes

Patriotic Fruit Tart
Pretty much a jazzed up fruit pizza – oh yeah =).

Red, White, and Blue Cheesecake Layer Cake
I mean, it’s red, white, and blue and it’s cheesecake. Do I really need to say anything more??

Red Velvet Cupcakes
You could totally give these cupcakes a blue and white swirl frosting for a full-fledged red, white and blue dessert!

S’mores Brownie Bars
An All-American dessert, right? Even if it’s not red, white, or blue haha.

S’mores Cupcakes
You’ll be the hit of the party if you bring these beauties! šŸ˜‰

Homemade Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
Because is it really a party without ice cream? I don’t think so!

Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies
Another classic American dessert – always a hit.

Strawberry Cupcakes
Pink’s a shade of red, right?? And the strawberries are so sweet and juicy now.

S’mores Bars
Just in case you can’t have the real thing =).

Happy 4th of July!
Remember, safety third..err, I mean first ;).
