I’m pretty sure that I’m at least a couple years behind for this recipe, but I just stumbled across it last week. One ingredient ice cream? Seriously? I have to admit that I was a little skeptical that one ingredient, frozen banana, could actually make anything that resembled ice cream but you’ll find this recipe/method all over the internet and everyone raves that it tastes like soft serve. I’m happy to report that it does actually taste like ice cream! It’s the perfect way to use up those over-ripe bananas. As I was blending it up, you could see it start to take on the consistency of soft serve. I would say this is a very healthy alternative to regular ice cream, since the only ingredient is frozen banana. =) So for everyone out there trying to eat healthier, next time you get a craving for ice cream freeze some bananas and blend away. If you don’t like bananas, then you probably shouldn’t try this lol. While the banana flavor is not super strong, it does taste like banana ice cream. I saw many variations if you want to mix it up a bit, including adding peanut butter, cocoa powder, or nutella. Enjoy!
